Description
The SCALA vertical alu is the modern version of the classic wall sundial made of anodised aluminium. It displays Local Apparent Time (LAT), the Sun's natural solar time. When the Sun is at its highest point at noon, the wall sundial displays 12 noon LAT. You can calculate the time on a wristwatch (i.e. Central European Time CET/CEST) using the time difference diagramm under the sundial face.
The sundial is calculated and manufactured for your individual wall. Please supply us with your address details (street, town) and the wall's cardinal direction (southern deviation) when ordering your sundial. If this is not known, we can calculate it for you with Google Maps or from your land register. We can decorate the sundial face with your own, multi-coloured pictures or symbols (e.g. coat of arms, date of birth - see above).
The standard size is 550mm x 550mm, additional sizes are available on request.
