Description

The praxinoscope was invented by Émile Reynaud around 1877 and was in many ways superior to the Zoetrop with conventional slot technology. Above all, the light output was much larger due to the mirror technique with the 12-sided prism. The praxinoscope is therefore regarded as the forerunner of cinematography. It was immensely popular at that time, but still has a great appeal today: With the 20 colorful film strips you can organize your own cinema from the 19th century.
