Description
Keplers erstes großes Werk Mysterium Cosmographicum (1596) ist ein begeistertes Bekenntnis zur kopernikanischen Lehre. Mit der Sonne im Mittelpunkt werden die Planetenbahnen anhand der fünf platonischen Körper -Tetraeder, Würfel, Oktaeder, Isokaeder, Dodekaeder- beschrieben. Mit dieser geistreichen Spekulation, die auf der Vorstellung von Symmetrie und Harmonie fußte, wurde Kepler bekannt, noch bevor er seine berühmten Gesetze der Planetenbewegungen postulierte.
